Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 19 August 2026
INSTILL Academy is operated by INSTILL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15425274, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
Trading name: INSTILL Academy

1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of online courses, programmes and other learning products offered by INSTILL Academy, including their lessons, videos, workbooks, playbooks, templates, downloads, assessments, community areas, live sessions and related materials (each a “Course”). The specific Course you purchase, its contents, price, access period and any additional terms applicable to it will be those described on the relevant sales and checkout pages at the time of purchase.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you purchase on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable consumer rights.
Course-specific information: Certain Courses may have additional or different terms relating to matters such as access periods, live sessions, assessments, certificates, payment arrangements or participation requirements. Where Course-specific terms are expressly stated on the relevant sales or checkout page, those terms form part of your contract and take precedence over these general Terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
2. Eligibility and intended audience
Our Courses are intended primarily for adults seeking personal, professional or business development. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a Course unless the relevant Course page expressly states otherwise.
3. Course description and learning outcomes
Each Course is described on its relevant sales and checkout pages. The description may include its modules or lessons, approximate learning time, learning outcomes, exercises, resources, access period and any certificate or assessment requirements. Any learning times stated are estimates and individual completion time will vary.
We may make reasonable updates to improve accuracy, accessibility, delivery or relevance. We will not materially reduce the core paid content or learning outcomes without a proper reason. Any accreditation, CPD certification, certificate, professional recognition or continuing-education claim applies only where the sales page expressly confirms its current status. A certificate of completion is not a regulated qualification unless expressly stated.
4. Ordering and the contract
The Course description and invitation to purchase are not an acceptance of your order. Your order is accepted, and the contract begins, when we send an order confirmation or provide access, whichever happens first. We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance for a genuine reason, including an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, sanctions or legal restrictions, or inability to supply the Course. If payment has been taken, it will be refunded.
5. Price, payment and instalments
Prices, taxes and available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payments are processed through our online platform and selected third-party payment providers. You authorise the provider to collect the amount displayed, including each instalment or recurring charge clearly disclosed before purchase.
An installment plan is a commitment to pay the full Course price in scheduled parts; it is not a cancellable monthly subscription unless checkout expressly says otherwise. Missing an installment may result in suspended access after reasonable notice, without cancelling the unpaid balance, subject to applicable law. We will not charge an undisclosed fee.
The price, currency, applicable taxes, payment options and any installment schedule for each Course will be clearly displayed at checkout before you place your order.
6. Access and technical requirements
Unless the checkout page states otherwise, access is personal, non-transferable and begins after successful payment. You need a suitable internet connection, supported browser/device and a working email address. Platform availability and third-party services may occasionally affect access. Planned or emergency maintenance may occasionally interrupt service.
We will use reasonable care to provide access for the stated access period. If a technical problem prevents access, contact academy@instill.global promptly with details. We may offer a reasonable workaround, repair, replacement access, extension or other remedy as appropriate. Your statutory remedies remain unaffected.
The access period applicable to each Course will be stated on its sales or checkout page. Where a Course is described as including “lifetime access”, this means access for as long as INSTILL Academy continues to make that Course available, subject to these Terms; it does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser.
Downloads and security. We take reasonable care in preparing and providing downloadable Course materials. However, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate security and antivirus protection on your device and for taking reasonable precautions when downloading files from the internet. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
7. Immediate digital supply and cancellation right
Where UK cancellation rights apply, you normally have 14 days after the contract is made to cancel a distance contract. If you ask us to provide digital Course content immediately, before that period ends, we will request your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that your statutory right to cancel will be lost once supply of the digital content begins. Any service element that begins during the cancellation period will be treated as required by law.
This clause does not remove rights where the Course is faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise does not conform to the contract. Full details appear in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
8. Your licence and permitted use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Course only for your personal or internal professional use during the access period. Ownership of the Course and all intellectual-property rights remains with us or our licensors.
You may download or print resources only where the Course makes that functionality available and only for your personal/internal use.
You must not share login details; copy, record, reproduce, resell, sublicense, publish or distribute Course content; upload it to artificial-intelligence systems or shared repositories; remove notices; or use it to create a substantially competing course or product.
You must not bypass security, scrape the platform, introduce malicious code, misuse other learners’ information or disrupt the Course.
You may refer to and apply ideas and learning from the Course in your own work, but you may not reproduce, distribute or present our protected Course materials as your own.
9. Community, submissions and live sessions
Where a Course includes comments, community features, assignments, submissions or live sessions, you must communicate lawfully and respectfully. Do not post unlawful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, defamatory, infringing, confidential or misleading material, spam, or personal data you lack permission to share. We may moderate or remove content and restrict access where reasonably necessary.
You retain ownership of original material you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy and display it only as needed to deliver and administer the Course. We will seek separate permission before using an identifiable submission or testimonial for public marketing.
10. Educational nature; no guaranteed results
Each Course provides general educational and professional-development information. It is not tailored legal, financial, tax, medical, therapeutic or other regulated professional advice. You remain responsible for evaluating information, obtaining specialist advice where appropriate and deciding how to apply it to your circumstances.
Examples, case studies and testimonials illustrate possible experiences and do not promise particular earnings, employment, business growth, accreditation, examination results or other outcomes. Results depend on matters outside our control, including participation, experience, market conditions and implementation. We do not exclude responsibility for statements that the law treats as binding or for misleading representations.
11. Third-party services and links
The Course may use or link to third-party platforms and services, including learning platforms, payment providers, video hosts, scheduling services and community tools. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply. We are responsible for our own obligations but do not control unrelated third-party websites or content. Affiliate links, if used, will be identified clearly.
12. Suspension and termination
We may temporarily suspend or permanently end access where you materially breach these terms, share access, misuse content, threaten others, commit fraud or fail to pay an amount due. Except where urgent action is needed for safety, security or law, we will normally explain the issue and allow a reasonable opportunity to remedy a remediable breach. Termination does not remove accrued payment obligations or clauses intended to continue, including intellectual property and liability provisions.
13. Our responsibility
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory consumer rights. If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss or for business losses suffered by a consumer.
If you purchase wholly for business purposes, subject to liabilities that cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising from the Course will not exceed the amount you paid for it, and we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or data. This business limitation does not apply to consumers to the extent prohibited by law.
14. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and resume performance. If a substantial interruption continues, any rights or refund will be assessed under the contract and applicable law.
15. Privacy
We process personal data as explained in the INSTILL Academy Privacy Notice. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and secure and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
16. Changes to these terms or the Course
The terms accepted at purchase apply to that purchase. We may update them prospectively for legal, security, platform or operational reasons. Material changes affecting existing access will be notified in a reasonable manner and will not retrospectively remove accrued rights. Minor Course updates may be made under clause 3.
17. Complaints and contact
Please send complaints to academy@instill.global, or to INSTILL LTD, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, explaining the order, issue and the resolution you are seeking. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and provide a substantive response within 14 working days. These targets do not limit statutory rights.
18. General terms
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining parts continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer the contract without our consent; we may transfer it only where this does not reduce your rights. No person other than you and us has a right to enforce these terms, except a permitted successor.
19. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or another country, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law of your home country. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Course Disclaimer
Disclaimer last reviewed: 8 August 2026
1. Educational purpose
INSTILL Academy Courses, including their videos, playbooks, exercises, assessments, templates, frameworks, examples and supporting materials (each a “Course”), are provided by INSTILL LTD for general educational and professional-development purposes.
Our Courses are intended to support personal and professional development in areas that may include leadership, empathy, clarity, creativity, communication, decision-making, responsible use of artificial intelligence and related professional skills.
Our Courses do not constitute legal, financial, medical, psychological, therapeutic, employment, human-resources, regulatory, technological or other professional advice. Nothing within the Course creates a professional adviser–client, consultant–client, therapist–client, solicitor–client or fiduciary relationship.
Participants should obtain appropriately qualified and independent professional advice where their circumstances require it.
2. Individual responsibility
The Courses provide ideas, frameworks, reflection exercises and practical tools that participants may choose to apply to their own professional circumstances.
Participants remain responsible for:
- deciding whether particular information or activities are appropriate for them;
- exercising their own professional judgement;
- complying with the laws, regulations, professional standards and workplace policies relevant to them;
- obtaining any permissions or approvals required by their employer or organisation; and
- the decisions, actions and outcomes arising from their use of the Courses.
Course examples and scenarios are illustrative. They should not be treated as instructions for dealing with every workplace, organisational or personal situation.
3. No guarantee of results
Although the Course is designed to support learning and professional development, no particular result is promised or guaranteed.
Completion of the Course does not guarantee:
- employment, promotion, increased income or business success;
- improved organisational performance;
- resolution of a particular leadership or workplace problem;
- acceptance by an employer, professional body or educational institution;
- eligibility for a particular role, qualification or professional status; or
- any specific personal, professional, commercial or financial outcome.
Results will vary according to factors including the participant’s experience, circumstances, level of participation, application of the learning and matters outside the Course provider’s control.
4. Artificial intelligence
Parts of the Courses may discuss or encourage the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
AI-generated material may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, unsuitable or misleading. Participants must review, verify and exercise independent human judgement before relying on or using any AI-generated output.
Participants must not enter confidential, commercially sensitive, personal, special-category or otherwise protected information into an AI service unless they have:
- lawful authority to do so;
- considered the applicable privacy, confidentiality and intellectual-property requirements;
- obtained any necessary consent or organisational approval; and
- reviewed the relevant AI provider’s terms and privacy arrangements.
The Course provider does not control third-party AI systems and is not responsible for their availability, security, outputs, terms, data practices or subsequent changes.
AI should not be used as the sole basis for decisions involving legal rights, health, safety, employment, finance, safeguarding or other matters carrying significant consequences.
5. Accuracy and currency
Reasonable care has been taken in preparing the Course. However, leadership practice, technology, artificial intelligence, laws, regulations, professional standards and recognised good practice may change.
We do not promise that every item of information will remain current, complete or applicable to every participant or situation. Participants should check current authoritative information and obtain specialist advice before acting on matters carrying legal, financial, medical, employment, regulatory, safety or other significant consequences.
Any views expressed by guest speakers, contributors or participants are their own unless expressly stated otherwise.
6. Wellbeing and sensitive topics
Some Course activities invite participants to reflect on leadership experiences, workplace relationships, uncertainty, change, conflict or personal responses.
Participants should engage only to the extent that they feel comfortable and may pause or discontinue an exercise where appropriate. The Course is not counselling, psychotherapy, medical treatment or crisis support.
Anyone experiencing significant distress or requiring mental-health assistance should seek support from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional or suitable support service.
7. Workplace and organisational use
Participants must adapt the Course appropriately to their role, authority and professional context.
Nothing in the Course authorises a participant to:
- disregard an employer’s policies or lawful instructions;
- make decisions outside their professional authority;
- disclose confidential or personal information;
- discriminate unlawfully;
- infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; or
- avoid consultation with appropriately qualified colleagues or advisers.
Organisational decisions should be made using the organisation’s established governance, risk-management, safeguarding, data-protection and approval processes.
8. Third-party resources and services
The Course may refer or link to books, articles, websites, software, AI services or other third-party resources for educational convenience.
A reference or link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement. The Course provider does not control and is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, accessibility, security, content, policies or practices of third-party resources.
Participants use third-party resources subject to the relevant provider’s terms and at their own discretion.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Course and its original materials, including its wording, structure, recordings, playbooks, exercises, diagrams, models, trademarks and proprietary frameworks, are owned by or licensed to INSTILL Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Purchase or authorised access provides the individual participant with a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials for their own learning and professional development.
Materials must not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, sold, sublicensed, distributed, adapted, uploaded to or used to train an artificial intelligence system, incorporated into another course or delivered to others without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Participants retain ownership of their own original written responses, subject to any separate terms governing material voluntarily submitted to the Course provider or Course platform.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any statutory rights or other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to those protections, INSTILL Ltd will not be responsible for losses arising solely because a participant:
- applies Course information without considering whether it is suitable for their circumstances;
- fails to obtain appropriate professional advice;
- relies on unverified AI-generated or third-party information;
- acts outside their professional authority;
- breaches applicable law, professional standards, organisational policies or third-party terms; or
- uses the Course or its materials for a purpose for which they were not designed.
Any limitation of liability contained in the Course provider’s full Terms and Conditions will apply only to the extent that it is fair, reasonable and legally enforceable.
Nothing in this disclaimer affects a participant’s statutory rights, including the right to receive services performed with reasonable care and skill.
11. Accreditation, CPD and certificates
Where a Course is described as CPD certified, accredited, recognised or otherwise carrying professional-development recognition, that description applies only where the relevant approval or status has been formally confirmed and remains current.
A certificate confirms that the participant has satisfied the Course provider’s stated completion requirements. It does not constitute a regulated qualification, professional licence, authorisation to practise or guarantee that a particular employer, regulator, professional body or educational institution will accept it for a particular purpose.
Participants are responsible for checking whether the Course meets their own employer’s, regulator’s or professional body’s requirements.
12. Updates to the Course
The Course provider may make reasonable updates to the Course to improve accuracy, accessibility, educational quality or relevance.
Any significant changes affecting a participant’s purchase, access or legal rights will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable Terms and Conditions and consumer law.
13. How This Disclaimer Applies
This disclaimer forms part of the information governing your use of each Course and should be read together with the applicable Terms and Conditions and other policies referred to below.
By accessing and using our Courses, participants acknowledge that they have read and understood this disclaimer and agree to use the Course responsibly.
This disclaimer should be read together with the Course provider’s:
- Terms and Conditions;
- Privacy Notice;
- Cookie Notice;
- Refund and Cancellation Policy.
If there is any conflict between this disclaimer and rights that a participant has under applicable law, those legal rights will prevail.

Cancellation and Refund
Effective date: 10 August 2026
Last updated: 10 August 2026
INSTILL Academy is operated by INSTILL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15425274, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
Trading name: INSTILL Academy

1. Scope
This policy explains cancellation and refund rights for online courses, programmes and other learning products supplied by INSTILL LTD, trading as INSTILL Academy (each a “Course”). It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
2. Your 14-day cancellation right before digital supply begins
If you are a UK consumer buying online, you normally have 14 days after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. To cancel before supply of the digital Course content has begun, send a clear statement to academy@instill.global or 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom before the period ends.
3. Immediate access to digital content
The Courses are designed to be available immediately after purchase. Before providing immediate access, we will ask for your prior express consent to begin digital supply during the 14-day cancellation period and your acknowledgement that your statutory right to cancel will be lost once supply begins.
Where a Course includes a separate service element, such as live coaching or live teaching, different cancellation rules may apply to that service element. Any applicable terms will be explained on the relevant sales or checkout page.
If the required express consent and acknowledgement were not properly obtained, your legal cancellation rights may continue as provided by law.
4. Refunds after digital supply begins
Once immediate digital supply has begun following valid express consent and acknowledgement, we do not ordinarily provide a change-of-mind refund. This does not affect your rights if the Course is faulty, inaccessible due to our breach, not of satisfactory quality, not fit for a purpose made known and accepted, or not as described, or if another legal remedy applies.
Where digital content does not conform to the contract, the law may entitle you to repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, an appropriate price reduction that may be up to the full price. Services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. We will provide all remedies required by applicable law.
5. Installment plans and subscriptions
Where a Course is purchased using an installment plan for a fixed total price, the installment plan is a commitment to pay that total price in scheduled payments. Choosing not to continue with the Course does not by itself cancel future installments that are due. This does not affect any cancellation, refund or other rights you have under this policy or applicable law.
6. Duplicate, incorrect or unauthorised payments
Contact academy@instill.global promptly if you believe you were charged twice, charged an incorrect amount or did not authorise a payment. We will investigate and correct verified billing errors. We may request reasonable information to verify the transaction. You should also protect your account and contact your payment provider where appropriate.
7. Technical access problems
First check your internet connection, browser/device and login details, then contact academy@instill.global with with the email address used for your order, a description of the problem and any useful screenshots. We will use reasonable efforts to restore access or provide an appropriate workaround. If we cannot supply conforming digital content within a reasonable time, we will provide the remedy required by law, which may include replacement access, an extension, price reduction or refund.
8. How to request cancellation or a refund
Email academy@instill.global with the subject “Cancellation/refund request”.
State your name, purchase email, order date, Course name and order number (if known).
Briefly explain whether you are cancelling before supply, reporting a billing error or asking for a remedy because of a Course/access problem.
Do not send full card details or passwords.
We aim to acknowledge the request within 5 working days and tell you whether more information is needed.
Where a refund is due, we will return it without undue delay and within the applicable legal time limit, ordinarily using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and lawful. Processing time after we issue it may depend on the payment provider or bank. We will not impose a refund fee where the law requires a full refund.
9. Gifts, promotions and third-party purchases
For a gift, the purchaser normally holds the contractual refund right unless the law or purchase arrangement provides otherwise. Refunds for discounted purchases are based on the amount actually paid. If a third-party marketplace is the seller of record, its process may apply, without reducing mandatory rights against the responsible trader.
10. Account termination for breach
A refund is not normally due where access is ended because of a serious or repeated breach of the Terms and Conditions, such as unauthorised sharing, copying or abusive conduct. This does not affect any remedy required by law and will be assessed fairly and proportionately.
11. Model cancellation form
You may use this form if you wish to cancel within an applicable cancellation period, but you do not have to.

2. Personal data we may collect
We may collect the following types of personal data.
Identity and contact data
This may include your name, username, email address, postal or billing address, telephone number and organisation or professional affiliation where provided.
Account and transaction data
This may include courses or products purchased, order details, payment status, invoices, refunds and subscription or instalment information. Payment-card details are normally processed by our payment providers rather than stored directly by INSTILL Academy.
Learning and participation data
This may include enrolment, course progress, lesson completion, quiz or assessment responses, submitted work, certificates, feedback, survey responses and support history.
Communications data
This may include emails, support requests, correspondence, questions, feedback and other communications you send to us.
Technical and usage data
This may include IP address, device and browser information, login and security information, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, cookie identifiers and related technical information.
Marketing and preference data
This may include mailing-list subscriptions, communication preferences, consent records, campaign engagement and referral information.
Content you choose to provide
This may include testimonials, photographs, audio or video, professional profile details, case studies and other information you voluntarily submit.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information in free-text responses or course activities unless it is genuinely necessary. Where we specifically request special-category personal data, we will explain why it is required and the legal basis on which it will be processed.
3. How we obtain personal data
We collect personal data directly from you when you create an account, purchase or participate in a course, complete a form, contact us or otherwise interact with INSTILL Academy.
We may also receive limited personal data from services involved in operating the Academy, including our course platform, payment providers, referral partners and other service providers where lawful.
Some technical information is collected automatically when you use our website and online services.
4. Why we use personal data and our lawful bases
We use personal data only where we have an appropriate lawful basis. UK GDPR requires an organisation to identify at least one lawful basis for processing personal information.Â
To respond to enquiries and provide information before purchase
We may use your contact details and correspondence where necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and, where appropriate, for our legitimate interests in responding to prospective customers.
To process purchases and provide courses and services
We use identity, account, transaction and learning data where necessary to perform our contract with you and comply with legal obligations.
To manage accounts and provide learner support
We use account, learning and communications data to provide access, support learners and administer INSTILL Academy.
To keep financial, tax and legal records
We may retain transaction, consent and communications records to comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
To secure, maintain and improve our website and courses
We may use technical, usage, support and feedback data for our legitimate interests in protecting our systems, improving our services and understanding how the Academy performs.
To send essential service communications
We may contact you about your account, purchases, access, security, course delivery or important policy changes where necessary to perform our contract with you or for our legitimate interests.
To send marketing communications
We may use contact, preference and engagement data with your consent where required, or on another lawful basis where permitted.
To use testimonials, case studies or identifiable promotional content
Where appropriate, we will rely on your consent or a specific agreement with you.
To prevent fraud and protect legal rights
We may use relevant account, payment, technical and communications data where necessary for our legitimate interests or to comply with legal obligations.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether our interests are necessary and proportionate and whether they are outweighed by your rights and interests.Â
5. Marketing choices
We may send marketing communications where you have consented or where another lawful route permits us to do so.
Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing a course.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting academy@instill.global.
We may retain a minimal suppression record so that we can respect your request not to receive further marketing.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place lawfully before consent was withdrawn, and it does not prevent us from sending essential service or account communications.
Where electronic-marketing rules require consent, consent will generally also be the appropriate UK GDPR basis for that marketing activity.Â
We will not provide your details to an unrelated third party for that third party's own marketing without appropriate transparency and, where required, consent.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.

7. Who receives personal data
We may share personal data with organisations that help us operate INSTILL Academy, including:
Kajabi, which provides our website, customer-account and course-delivery platform.
Payment processors and financial institutions, where required to process payments, refunds or transactions.
CookieScript, which provides our cookie-consent management service.
Email, hosting, cloud-storage, IT, support, accounting and professional-service providers, where required for the operation and administration of the Academy and INSTILL LTD.
Referral or affiliate partners, where necessary to validate a referral, prevent fraud or administer an agreed commission.
Professional advisers, insurers, auditors and contractors, where necessary and subject to appropriate duties of confidentiality.
Authorities, regulators, courts, tax authorities or law-enforcement bodies, where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights.
We may also disclose relevant personal data to a genuine buyer, investor or successor in connection with a business sale, investment or reorganisation, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
Some service providers act as processors on our instructions, while others may act as independent controllers for their own purposes.
We do not sell personal data in the ordinary meaning of that term.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom.
Where this involves a restricted international transfer under UK data-protection law, we will use an appropriate lawful mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved Standard Contractual Clauses, or another permitted safeguard.
You may contact us for further information about safeguards applying to relevant international transfers.
The ICO recognises these mechanisms as part of the UK's international-transfer framework.Â
9. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing course access, fulfilling legal and accounting obligations, resolving disputes and protecting legal rights.
As a general guide:
Account and course-progress data
We normally retain this while your account and course access remain active and for up to 24 months after access ends, unless there is a reason to retain particular information for longer.
Orders, invoices and core financial records
We normally retain these for at least six years where required for accounting, tax or legal purposes.
Routine enquiries that do not result in a purchase
We normally retain these for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact.
Marketing records
We retain these while you remain subscribed. We may retain minimal suppression information after you unsubscribe so that we can honour your choice.
Testimonials and permissions
We retain these while the relevant material is being used and for a reasonable period afterwards to maintain a record of the permission or agreement.
Technical and security information
Retention periods vary according to the system and security purpose and are kept under review.
We review retention periods and do not retain identifiable personal data indefinitely merely because it might be useful in future. This reflects the UK GDPR storage-limitation principle.Â
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data.
These may include access controls, account security, reputable service providers, backups and confidentiality requirements for people who have access to personal data.
No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and should use a strong, unique password and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
11. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and the applicable law, you may have rights to:
- be informed about how your personal data is used;
- request access to your personal data;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request deletion of personal data in certain circumstances;
- request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- receive certain personal data in a portable form;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- have protections in relation to certain solely automated decisions.
These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions and do not necessarily apply to every processing activity.
To exercise a data-protection right, contact academy@instill.global.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity.
We normally respond within one month, subject to any extension permitted by law.
We do not currently use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
The ICO's guidance confirms these transparency and individual-rights requirements under the UK GDPR.Â
12. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we use your personal data, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to address it.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
If you live outside the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority in your country.
13. Children
The INSTILL Academy website and courses are intended for adults and are not knowingly directed at children.
We do not knowingly enrol children or intentionally collect children's personal data for participation in our courses.
If this changes, we will review this Privacy Notice and our data-protection and safeguarding arrangements before offering services to children.
14. External links and social media
Our website may contain links to external websites or social-media services.
Those organisations are responsible for their own processing of personal data, and their own privacy notices apply when you interact with them.
This Privacy Notice does not govern the independent activities of third-party websites and platforms.
15. Changes to this Privacy Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice when our services, practices or legal obligations change.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this notice shows when it was most recently revised.
Where a change is significant or the law requires additional notice, we will take appropriate steps to inform affected users.
Copyright and Permitted Use
Last updated: 10 August 2026
1. Copyright and intellectual property
The content and materials made available through INSTILL Academy, including course content, videos, written materials, playbooks, workbooks, exercises, worksheets, graphics, diagrams, photographs, audio, downloads and other learning resources, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights where applicable.
Except where otherwise stated, copyright in original INSTILL Academy materials is owned by INSTILL LTD or used by INSTILL LTD with the permission or licence of the relevant rights holder.
Certain concepts, stories and other material within our courses may draw upon earlier research, published work and professional practice. Copyright and other intellectual property rights in previously published or third-party material remain with their respective rights holders.
2. Your right to use the course
When you purchase or are otherwise granted access to an INSTILL Academy course, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use that course and the materials provided with it for your own learning and professional development.
Unless a particular resource expressly states otherwise, your access does not transfer ownership of the course content or its intellectual property rights to you.
3. What you may do
You may:
- access and view the course through your personal account;
- download resources that INSTILL Academy makes available for download;
- print copies of downloadable worksheets, playbooks and other resources for your own personal use;
- complete, annotate and retain those materials for your own learning and professional development; and
- apply the knowledge, ideas, skills and approaches you learn through the course in your own life, work, leadership or business.
We actively encourage learners to put their learning into practice. These restrictions are intended to protect the course materials themselves, not to prevent you from using the knowledge and skills you develop.
4. What you may not do
Unless INSTILL LTD has given you prior written permission, you must not:
- share your account, password or course access with another person;
- copy, record, photograph, screen-record or reproduce substantial parts of course videos, lessons or other protected materials;
- share, upload, publish, email, sell, sublicense, distribute or otherwise make course materials available to another person or organisation;
- remove copyright notices, branding, watermarks or other ownership information;
- alter or reproduce course materials and present them as your own;
- use INSTILL Academy materials to create, deliver or sell another course, training programme, workbook, membership, publication or commercial product;
- upload substantial course materials to an artificial-intelligence system, public website, file-sharing service, shared database or other service in a way that reproduces, distributes, trains on or makes those materials available to others; or
- allow another person or organisation to access or use course materials through your account.
5. Reusable or specially licensed resources
Where a particular resource is expressly described as reusable, shareable or licensed for a particular purpose, you may use it within the permissions stated on that resource.
Any additional permission applies only to the resource concerned and does not extend to the rest of the course or INSTILL Academy materials.
6. Third-party and previously published materials
Courses may contain or refer to material in which copyright or other intellectual property rights are owned by third parties or other rights holders.
Such material remains subject to the rights and permissions applicable to it. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of third-party or previously published intellectual property to INSTILL LTD or to the learner.
7. Accessibility and permission requests
We want our learning materials to be accessible.
If you require course material in an alternative accessible format, or would like permission to use a resource in a way not permitted by these Terms, please contact:
We will consider reasonable accessibility requests and requests for additional permissions on a case-by-case basis.
8. Copyright notice
Unless otherwise stated:

Unauthorised copying, sharing, reproduction, distribution or commercial exploitation of protected INSTILL Academy materials may infringe copyright and other intellectual property rights.
